Chapter 4

We Have Forever [THE END!!]

"Oh my god! You look gorgeous!" My thoughts were interrupted as I heard Kayla scream. I laughed lightly and blushed. I couldn't disagree with her though. Everything on me was perfect, and the dress was just breathtaking.

"Do you really think so? Is it good enough to go out there?" I asked, starting to have my second thoughts on what I was wearing. Kayla gave me a long, silent stare and I all of a sudden felt stupid. Of course it was good enough! It was better than good. More like perfect. Everything was exactly the way I wanted it to be.

Kayla once again interrupted my thoughts by laughing. "Why can't you say it?" I looked at her confused for a second, trying to figure out what she was talking about. "What do you mean?" She rolled her eyes as if I was oblivious, which I was.

"Wedding. This is a wedding. This is your wedding. But the whole time I've noticed that you won't call it that. You keep referring to your wedding as it. This is the biggest day of your life, so I was just wondering why you won't call this your wedding?" I didn't even realize I was doing that, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that what Kayla was saying, was true.

"Oh," Another second passed by as I tried to gather my thoughts together, "I don't know why I keep doing that. I guess it's just weird. When I first met Jake, I was hurt. I thought my life was over. I was a complete mess. I didn't even think this was possible..."

"You didn't think what was possible?" Kayla asked, trying to get what she wanted to hear out of me.

"My wedding with Jacob. There, I said it." She laughed when she realized that she finally got me to say it. "I'm sorry, I just had to do it, but continue." She said, trying to get me to finish my story.

"Well, Jake was just Jake. He was funny, sweet, and I loved being around him. So we became best friend. We spent every minute together. He was just my escape from everything else and I liked that. But somewhere along the way, things changed. I fell in love with him. I didn't know how or when it happened, but it did. I fell in love with Jacob Black, Kayla, and for some crazy, unexplainable reason, he fell in love with me too."

Kayla stared at me for a long minute, speechless, and then smiled. "You're ready." I looked at her confused. She had a way of not getting things straight to the point. "What?" "You're ready to marry him. I know everyone said that you're rushing into this, but you're not. You both love each other, I can see that. I've actually never seen anything like it before. You're both ready for this."

I pulled Kayla into a tight hug. "Are you ready?" She nodded her head and made her way to the closed door, getting ready to go through them. My dad came over to me and took me by my arm. "Are you ready?" I smiled up at him. "More ready than I'll ever be." He smiled back at me and turned his attention to the doors. He looked sad in a happy way though. After that, it seemed like things went by in a blur and before I knew it I was walking down the aisle. I had to do everything I could to keep myself from running the rest of the way.

After what seemed like forever, I finally got to Jacob. "You look beautiful." I couldn't help but smile. "And you look very handsome." He laughed almost silently and continued to stare down at me. I could feel my face starting to heat up.

For the rest of the wedding, we stayed that way. Just looking at each other, barely understanding what was going on or what was being said. All I know is that we both said 'I do' and that's all that mattered.

I looked up at the stars as Jacob and I sat on the beach. "Can you believe it?" He asked out of nowhere. "Believe what?" "This is where we had our first "date" two years ago." I laughed lightly. "Why the quotation marks about date?" "Because it wasn't a date to you, but it was a date to me." He said with a smile on his face. I rolled my eyes at him and smiled back at him. "Oh, so you tricked me?" "Yep," He said, popping the P. "Smooth, huh?" I couldn't help but laugh. "Sure." I said in a sarcastic way. "Hey, you fell for it though. Just think about it this way, would we be married right now if I didn't ask you on a "date" that night?" Again, he put the quotation marks around date. He had a good point though. I wonder if things would of really been different if that night never happened. It seemed like a pointless night, but the more I thought about it, the more it seemed like that night mattered so much. "Good point," I said while smiling at him. I seemed to be doing that a lot today.

A few more silent minutes passed by as Jake and I continued to watch the waves. It felt just like the old times, when we first met. I liked the feeling. Of course, now I wouldn't want to go back to that. Why would I? I had everything I needed.

"We've had a crazy relationship, haven't we?" He suddenly asked. "The craziest, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Well, besides the both of us almost dying." Jacob cringed at the thought. I couldn't blame him, I never wanted to deal with something like that ever again. "But it made us stronger." I said, trying to push those thoughts out of my head. "A lot stronger, but I'd rather not go through anything like that ever again." "I agree."

Before I knew it, he pulled me close to him and wrapped his arms around me. "But now we have forever." He said with a smile. And that's when it all kicked in. I had forever with Jacob. The person I was completely in love with. "Forever," I repeated.

THE END!!!!! x3
